Minding Me – Mental Health Promotion Programme

The Minding Me programme is primarily about an approach to mental well-being that enables Minding Mepeople to explore ways of making realistic changes, it raises awareness and is essentially a guide to personal development.

Poverty is destructive in the way it grinds people’s confidence into the ground. Economic disadvantage increases stresses, including everyday pressures to pay bills or to purchase food and clothing and limits access to activities that enhance independence and well-being but by recognising how you are feeling and taking positive steps such as talking to someone or taking exercise, you can do a lot to help yourself.

This programme covers topics such as factors influencing mental well-being, how to deal with stress, and how to make personal positive changes.  The programme enables participants to take time to reflect on how their lifestyle is affecting their emotional well-being and helps them explore how they can take action to improve their situation.

The course is delivered by our specially trained Community Facilitators, also known as peer-educators.
